I was drawn to the serenity of the scene. The small wooden boat resting on the sandy beach, the calm sea stretching out to the horizon, and the puffy fog contributed to a sense of peace and tranquility. I wanted to project the simplicity and beauty of the moment, so I chose to display in black and white, or desaturated. The desaturated treatment accentuates the contrast between the light and dark areas of the image, creating a sense of depth and perspective. I also carefully considered the composition of this image. I centered the boat in the frame and used the fog passive line to divide the image into two equal halves. This creates a sense of balance and harmony. This image captures the essence of a peaceful day at the beach. I hope that it will bring a sense of calm and serenity to those who view it. I also like to think that this image tells a story. It is a story about a boat that has come to rest after a long journey. It is a story about the peace and tranquility of the natural world. And it is a story about the beauty of simplicity.
